



The Eurocopter EC135 received FAA Type Certification on July 31, 1996. The helicopter entered production in 1995 and is still being produced to this day under the name Airbus H135. A total of approximately 1,400 EC135 helicopters have been manufactured, with the majority still in active service. While exact numbers on retired units are not publicly disclosed, the EC135 remains widely operated around the world in both civil and military roles.
